Jason Wilson is a success story of a U of T graduate and former member of the club who broke into the games industry. He’ll be coming to give us a talk about his experience working at KOEI Canada for over a year now next week during club meeting time on Thursday September 27th, 2007 at 7pm in BA1240. Want proof? Here’s his thread on the forums. If you have any questions or things you would like him to talk about, let us know so he can prepare to answer them when he comes.

Meeting Time and Locations!

Hey everyone,

Based on what people wrote on their sheets, we figure that the best time to meet is 7-9pm on Thursdays. I realize that there is one person who can’t attend, as well as two people who can only attend every second week, but it was the best we could do.

The rooms we are meeting in are slightly different for each week, so here’s the list of rooms I’ve booked and their respective dates, they’re all in the Bahen Centre.

OCT 4 BA2165

OCT 11 BA2195

OCT 18 BA2135

Hi Everyone!

After a long and complicated adventure, involving misdirection, intruige and doubt, I’ve managed to book a room for our first meeting! :D

Here’s all the info that you need:

Time:

Monday Sept 17th, 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Place:

SF 3201

see: http://rrs.osm.utoronto.ca/map/

Sanford Fleming Building Room 3201 - I tried to book a room in the Bahen Center since they’re much nicer, but because it was such sort notice, I was unable to. This will not be our permanent meeting place or time, we will discuss where / when people would rather meet in the first meeting.

I will be sending an email sometime tonight to all of the people who asked for it (I forgot the email list at home :P)

I Hope everyone had a great first week, see you at the meeting!

President: utGDDC

PS. It looks like we’ll be having our first guest speaker on Thursday September 20th from 3-4, but I just have to double check that it’s a good time for her to come.

Welcome to the Club!

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to leave an update for anyone who is new to the club.  In order to register for the club,  all you need to do is show up at one of our meetings.   There is no fee to join, and you can show up whenever you like!

We will likely be having our meetings on Modays 2-4, but we have not yet booked a room so that’s not official yet.

We’ll try to keep everybody updated on this site and I will be posting things as soon as I know them. You can subscribe to the site’s RSS feed if you’d like to be informed as soon as we make a post.  I’ll also be sending an email to  everyone who asked to receive notification.  If you’d like an email sent to you,  you can send an email to info@utgddc.com and we’ll get you added to the list.

Hope everyone is having a great first week of school,  hope to see you there!
