Hi everyone.
Just reminding all of you that our next club meeting will be this upcoming Thursday, October 29 from 5-7 p.m. in BA3000. Please note that this is the same time, but a different room than last week’s club meeting. See you there!
CORRECTION:
I got tired and made a mistake when I sent out the most recent reminder of our meeting to the e-mail list and the facebook group. Please take notice that the club is meeting in room BA3000 this time, NOT in room 3008 as I mistakenly mentioned previously. Sorry for the confusion everyone, and please don’t let that stop you from showing up this week.

What’s the topic?
I think we’ll be discussing scary games since Halloween is coming up, and I believe that we’ll be playing a couple of them, too. I also want to get input from the members of the club about what type of software-based game design prototyping system they would like to learn in upcoming club meetings; Flash and ActionScript, or Python and PyGame. If you have any opinions on which system is better to use for game design prototyping, please reply back and let us know.
I think either one of those is fine, as long as you’re comfortable using it… FYI, the Unity (Indie) game engine is now free! So you guys might want to check it out for prototyping too: http://www.unity3d.com .
Wow, that’s excellent. Thanks for letting me know about that. I’ve heard good things about the Unity engine and I played a 3D web browser game called Off-Road Velociraptor Safari that used it. It actually worked very well, and I was quite impressed. This is something that I’ll definitely be checking out as a possible prototyping tool in the future, especially now that it’s free!
